Whether you have weeks or decades of teaching experience, you've owned multiple schools or are just starting out, the Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors welcomes female martial arts business owners, instructors, assistant instructors and aspiring instructors of all martial arts styles.

This is your opportunity to:

Network with other women/femmes who love and teach martial arts.
Learn from successful instructors and school owners with decades of experience.
Improve your best practices for sustaining your school and adding value for your students.
Share your experience, and support other women/femmes in the martial arts and self-defense communities.

Conference Schedule At-A-Glance:

Thursday, April 8, 2027: Networking reception begins at 5:00pm.
Friday, April 9, 2027: Conference officially opens at 9:00am. Workshops scheduled throughout the day. Lunch is provided; dinner on your own.
Saturday, April 10, 2027: Workshops scheduled throughout the day. Lunch is provided. Demonstration in the afternoon and our signature Hall of Fame banquet in the evening.
Sunday, April 11, 2027: Workshops scheduled throughout the morning. Conference officially closes at noon.

Hotel Information:

Our 2027 conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland at Playhouse Square. A special group rate is available through March 12, 2027. To book your rooms for the conference please use this Reservation Link.

The hotel is in a premier location in the Cleveland theatre district, and it is walking distance to major attractions like the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland sports arenas, the Great Lakes Science Center, and the beautiful Lake Erie waterfront. A short public transit ride can take you to museums, cultural institutions, the Cleveland Zoo, the West Side Market, and more!
Hotel amenities include a fitness center and an indoor pool.
Breakfast is included in your room rate.
The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is just a 20 minute drive from the hotel. Both rail and bus transit are available to and from the airport through the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority.

Registration Fees, Discounts, and Scholarships:

AWMAI members and Gold members (Hall of Fame members, Lifetime members) are eligible for registration discounts. Log in before registering to access your discount!
All AWMAI members receive a significant discount on registration, so join today!
Members may apply for scholarship funds to offset the registration and/or hotel fees. The scholarship application deadline is January 31st.
