Denise GonzalesBiography:

I have been actively practicing martial arts since 1964. I started my training in Judo, Dan Zan Ryu Jujitsu and Small Circle Jujitsu under Professor Wally Jay and Professor Lee Eichelberger at Island Judo & Jujitsu Club in Alameda. I have competed in Judo tournaments both regionally and nationally earning several gold and silver medals and also competed in Sports Jujitsu in Reno, NV. In the mid-1990s, I became one of Team Sacramento’s National Judo instructors and coach for 17 years where I was the lead coach of over a dozen National Gold Medal competitors.

I was a "D" Level National USJI Coach for 8 years; taught at Camp Dan Zan Ryu for over 20 years; have been a guest instructor at Moncreff's Kenpo in Massachusetts for many years; and guest instructor at the Dan Zan Ryu conventions for Jujitsu America and AJJF as well as the Ohana Conventions.
