Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors

Are you a martial arts instructor who wants to:

  • Network with other women who love and teach martial arts.
  • Learn new ways to attract and retain students.
  • Improve your best practices for sustaining your school and adding value for your students.
  • Learn from successful instructors and school owners with decades of experience.
  • Share your experience, and support other women in the martial arts and self-defense communities.
Then AWMAI is for you!

Whether you have weeks or decades of teaching experience, the Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors welcomes female martial arts instructors, assistant instructors and aspiring instructors of all martial arts styles.  Learn more about membership.

Each year, we hold an annual conference where we gather with friends old and new to learn and share.

At our conference we also recognize women from all styles who have 30 or more years of martial arts experience. Is this you, or one of your martial arts sisters?  Find out more about our Hall of Fame

AWMAI also serves its members by publicly recognizing women that have achieved rank promotion in their own style through our rank recognition program. Don't miss the opportunity to have your extended community celebrate your achievements!

Sometimes marital artists who are progressing as teachers and practitioners are unable to test for rank promotion in their own style. AWMAI offers rank promotion for women who no longer have direct contact with a teacher that is able to test and promote them.
